Visa Letters

Visa to Travel to India
All non-Indian citizens are required to have an Indian visa to enter the country. Allow sufficient time (at least 4-6 weeks) to procure an appropriate visa from your nearest Indian consulate (see Indian consulates worldwide). Indian consulates in the continental US are located in Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, and Atlanta.

All participants traveling from the United States must use Cox & Kings Global Services Pvt. Limited to obtain an Indian visa. All other participants should contact the Indian Embassy/ Consulate General of India in their respective countries for information on obtaining an Indian visa. Applications for the Conference Visa will require the applicant to supply:  1) a letter of invitation from IPDPS organizers and 2) a copy of all required permissions and certifications for IPDPS 2015 from Indian Government Agencies, which is available here.

How to Obtain a Visa Invitation Letter
While you are registering you will be asked whether you require a visa letter, and you will be directed to this Webpage to request the letter. Checking yes during registration is not sufficient to obtain the letter.

When you have registered and paid your fees in full, you may submit the online Request for Visa Invitation Letter form available here. If you cannot access the online form, then you may complete the information requested in the text version available here and email it to visa@ipdps.org.  Attendees from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, and Sudan will require additional documentation and clearances, so the visa application process should be initiated as soon as the applicant knows that they will be attending the conference, and no later than March 1, 2015, as special clearance is required for these participants (in addition to the Indian Government Approval letters). The attendees from the countries listed above should submit the Request for Visa Invitation Letter form no later than March 1, 2015 and will be asked to provide additional information (the last nine items) in the form.

Student Travel Support

To encourage participation in the PhD Forum Student Author Program, PhD Forum participants who are IEEE members are eligible for discounted registration fees.  (This does not apply to students who are also authors of a paper being presented in main conference or workshops.) A grant from the National Science Foundation has been awarded to encourage and support US-based student participation at IPDPS 2015 in India. All participants in the IPDPS PhD Forum will be eligible for TCPP travel grants made available to all student authors, and support for India-based PhD Forum participants is being organized. Note that all student attendees must have registered to be eligible for support and must be members of IEEE. Grants are made in the form of post-conference reimbursement. Details of all travel support that will be available to all students, including those outside the US and those in India, will be announced in January.
