The decision to hold IPDPS 2021 virtually does not impact the publication of the IPDPS 2021 proceedings, and IEEE will be hosting the accepted authors' work on Xplore. All papers accepted for both the main conference and the workshops have been uploaded to be published as part of the proceedings that will be distributed online the week before the scheduled conference (17-21 May). Access to the proceedings and attendance at virtual sessions will require registration, available here.
May 11, 2021 Update: TO ALL IPDPS 2021 AUTHORS
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
The FTP server will only recognize files saved as .mp4 using the H.264 encoding.
Final steps are underway to conduct a virtual program that will support live sessions of invited speakers and author presentations, supplemented by online and on-demand material including videos, slides, and recorded discussions.
IPDPS 2021 Main Conference Authors:
- Authors will present their technical papers live via the virtual platform in 15-minute time slots (10 minute presentation plus Q&A) on Tues, Wed, and Thurs. See the Advance Program for session in which your paper is to be presented. All presenting authors need to be registered to have access to the session.
- The live sessions will be recorded and made available to registered attendees during and after the conference.
- In addition to the live sessions, main conference authors are invited and encouraged to upload a full (25 minute) video presentation of their work. These full- length talks will be available to all registrants for asynchronous viewing. Authors will receive email with full instructions to include the following and these files are due by May 14th.
Please note: The video does not replace your participation in the live paper session where your paper is scheduled. If you have not seen the schedule, it is posted in the Advance Program.
RECORDING YOUR FILE
Many applications can be used to record video, but Zoom offers a simple solution that provides solid results. The settings described in the pdf file and video of instructions below are specific to Zoom, although the basic guidance should work for any app you choose.
IMPORTANT:
The FTP server will only recognize files saved as .mp4 using the H.264 encoding.
CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS (CLOSED)
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IPDPS 2021 will be held virtually. This does not impact the publication of the IPDPS 2021 proceedings, and IEEE will be publishing accepted papers on IEEE Xplore following the conference. Presentation of an accepted paper at the conference is a requirement for publication.
- Due date for Main Conference paper upload is February 28th.
- Due date for Workshops paper upload is
March 15th March 31st
(Some workshops may have a later due date. Check websites for that date.)
The conference proceedings of IPDPS 2021 will be published in two volumes with two separate ISBN's: one for the main conference technical program (IPDPS) and one for the workshops (IPDPSW). The proceedings will be available online to all registered attendees one week prior to and throughout the week of the conference.
The Conference Publishing Services (CPS) of the IEEE Computer Society will produce the IPDPS 2021 proceedings. Post conference, the two volumes of proceedings will be submitted to IEEE for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. This requires that all papers submitted for publication must meet a minimum standard for both print and electronic publishing.
To help authors meet that standard, this IPDPS Web page will take you to the CPS Author Final Paper Preparation and Submission Instructions (the author kit).
Before going to CPS Author Kit page below, please note carefully the following:
ALL AUTHORS
- Each paper must have one author registration by April 15th April 22nd. The registration portal will open by February 28th.
- Extra Page Fee: Authors of “eligible” papers may purchase up to two (2) additional pages in the proceedings at US$200 per page, which may be paid at the time of registration.
- In the above, all Main Conference papers, which are limited to 10 pages – as specified in the original call for papers – are eligible to purchase 2 extra pages. Workshop papers eligible to purchase up to 2 extra pages will be designated as “regular” papers at the time the workshops send the author notifications, and the paper length will be specified in the notification.
IPDPS AUTHORS (Main Conference)
When you go to the "Author Final Paper Preparation and Submission Instructions" (link below) on the IEEE Computer Society CPS site, you will be asked to provide a paper ID, which is the Linklings paper number for your original submission.
- CPS Final Paper Preparation & Submission Instructions for IPDPS 2020 (Main Conference) AUTHORS (CLOSED)
IPDPSW AUTHORS (Workshops)
When you go to the "Author Final Paper Preparation and Submission Instructions" on the IEEE Computer Society CPS site, you will be asked to supply a paper ID, which will be provided to you by the workshop that accepted your paper. Please, do not attempt to submit to CPS without the Paper ID (which includes acronym of workshop plus digits*). Contact the workshop chairs if you have not received the Paper ID by the first week of March.
* The Paper ID should be the acronym of the workshop plus two or three digits. If the Paper ID provided by your workshop does not include the workshop acronym, please add the acronym in front of the number provided by the workshop for your paper when you are registering your paper on the CPS site (workshop acronyms are listed on the conference website).
