• Parco Tirreno Suite Hotel & Residence
IPDPS 2009 will be held at the Aurelia Convention Centre in Rome. It is set in a garden and residential park area close to Villa Doria Pamphili and just 3km from the Vatican City and 4 km from the centre of Rome. The metro underground rail stop - Cornelia - is less than 5 minutes walk from the Convention Centre, with quick and easy transit to the center of Rome. Two hotels, which are part of the Convention Centre complex, will offer sleeping rooms at special IPDPS rates.
The Grand Hotel Palazzo Carpegna is co-located with the main meeting rooms, where events will be held all week, including registration. The Torre Rossa Park Hotel, which is a five-minute walk from Palazzo Carpegna, will provide some workshop meeting rooms on Monday & Friday and will host the Wednesday evening buffet dinner and the Thursday all-day TCPP PhD Forum and Thursday evening TCPP membership reception.

The Palazzo Carpegna is a 4 star hotel. Recently completely renovated, with comfortable and carefully furnished rooms, the hotel has two restaurants, which offer traditional Italian cuisine. The Bar Il Chiostro offers snacks and drinks that can also be served in the garden patio (weather permitting). The Piano Bar provides live entertainment every night.

The Torre Rossa Park Hotel is a 3 star hotel only a five-minute walk from the Aurelia Convention Centre & the Palazzo Carpegna. The lobby and public areas were recently renovated and are characterised by their contemporary style. The restaurant Il Borgo offers the best in traditional cuisine as well as an excellent selection of wines. The bar provides snacks and cocktails, which can be served outside in the unique garden environment (weather permitting).

Special rates for IPDPS 2009 are offered at both hotels. They will apply three days prior to and three days after the meeting dates. The deadline for reservations at the guaranteed rate is April 2, 2009. After that date reservations will be based on availability. For cancellations made by May 1, 2009 no penalty will be charged. After May 1st, one night will be charged.
