*IEEE International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium Call for
IPDPS Steering Committee Nominations July 2023 At its recent annual
meeting, the IPDPS Steering Committee (SC) voted to recompose the committee
in a phased manner over the next three years. The current members all will
retire by IPDPS 2026. Nominations are sought for SC members. The membership
will be for three years, renewable for three more years based on
participation. The membership will be limited to at most two consecutive
terms, and at most, four terms over lifetime. Nominations can be made
throughout the year, however, early submissions (by August 15) are strongly
encouraged. Nominations will be discussed as they arrive by the Steering
Committee, and it will make its recommendations to the SC Chair.
Nominations should include: · Name, affiliation, and professional history
· Details of participation at IPDPS over the years (e.g., PC member,
volunteer, published at IPDPS, workshop organizer, student volunteer,
author) · Highlights of service to the parallel and distributed
processing community · Motivation and reasons for wanting to serve on the
SC · Commitment to participate in person at the annual SC meetings.
Nominations should be in plain text and are limited to one page.
Nominations should be sent via email to volunteer at ipdps.org
<volunteer at ipdps.org>. Attachments are not permitted; however, you may
include links. Self-nominations are allowed. IPDPS is committed to
diversity, equity, and inclusion in all of its activities, and aims to
recruit volunteers representative of the diversity of the research
community.
